I should have stuck to my old method too, I would have got the right answer that way. I think EPC's are ultimately the way to go, so more study for me is indicated.

My main mistake was thinking that Blue's position was 5.5 rolls. In EPC terms I would have done a lot better just using 5 rolls: 5x7+1 = 36 EPC. Add a pip or two because it's not a true 5 roll position and my method would have worked a lot better.
