In Response To: For GoL members/OLM question (Stick)

I think it's a matter of style. There can be nuances in Next-y plays that wouldn't be worth discussing in a chouette or a doubles match. Nobody would bother with them in the middle of a head-up session either. Aside from slowing the game to a crawl, it would be an inefficient use of mental CPU cycles--you don't want your core to overheat, do you?

But at a BG BB, there's no time limit, and the server has no closing time. Also, there are all kinds of interesting discussions going on alongside the OLM. In Kit's OLMs, he allows more of these nuancy plays to be discussed than you do, but neither of you are right or wrong. Some questions have more than one answer, and some have none; I'm happy with both formats.

And yes I'll get around to posting at GoL again sometime soon >>
