I have these all rolled out already. They are all positions that arose in my own games that I had difficulty with; in most cases I made the wrong play OTB.

I'm not sure how other people study, but in addition to electronic files, I keep quadrille-ruled notebooks in which I record troublesome positions by hand. The diagram is on the right-hand side and a rollout summary is on the back. The advantage of the notebook is that I can flip through lots of positions quickly (that's how I compiled this quiz), and also quiz myself. I seem to recall that MCG promises himself that he will never make the same mistake twice. I don't make that promise to myself because from experience I know that I can't keep it. After a hundred positions or so, if I go back and try the same problems again, I find myself making the same mistake in an embarrassingly large fraction of the positions. But by repeatedly reviewing the same positions, and studying the repeat offenders more thoroughly, I eventually do make progress.
