Nack said (in response to Joe): "Really? If player A players somewhere other than the center, and B plays with radial symmetry, how can A win?"

A - bottom right
B - top left
A - right
B - top
A - left
B - bottom
A - must connect three - B wins!

A - bottom right
B - top left
A - right
B - bottom left
A - top B - must connect three - A wins!

Nack: Neither of your variations follow "radial symmetry." In the first one, the fourth entry should be "B - left" and B still wins. The move you listed, B - top, is busted by A - lower left.

In the second one, the fourth entry, B - bottom left, is a blunder. "B - left" would honor radial symmetry and win.
