If n is even then a winning strategy for the 2nd player is to rotate 180 degrees around the central point of the grid.
Agreed. That is the strategy that I called "radial symmetry" in the other part of the thread, except it was applied to a 3x3 grid -- when diagonals count (and the first player plays somewhere other than the center).
A term for "row or column" would be useful.
I use the term "line" when (for example) analyzing Color Lines positions. It would be understood not to apply to diagonals (which it otherwise would) when you've specifically precluded them.
