If Neil is 300 rating points better than Carter, then Neil's 7-away 3-away match equity is 35.8% (Jacobs-Trice), instead of 23.1% (J-T). But if Neil is, say, a 2000 player, is a "very excellent open level player" an under 1700 player? Is that possible?
J-T +200 7-away 3-away match equity: 31.5%
J-T +100 7-away 3-away match equity: 27.3%
Carter's results:
- 2007 Midwest, Quickie (128): 1st
- 2007 Carolina, Quicki (64): 1st
- 2006 Las Vegas, Championship: 2nd
- 2006 Barriere, Open: 1st Last Chance
- 2006 Wisconsin, Blitz (64): 2nd
- 2006 Pittsburgh, Quickie (64): 1s
- 2005 California, 2point Quickie (24): 1st
- 2006 Barriere, Open: Semifinalist
- 2006 Barriere, DMP: 2nd
- 2005 Michicang, Open: 4/5th
- 2004 Illinois, Quickie (32): 1st
- 2004 Chicago, Minimatch (64): 2nd
- 2004 Midwest, Quickie (128): 1st
- 2003 Michigan, Quickie (64): 1st
Looks like Carter's down with DMP. In the cube problem Neil wins 28.7% (rollout). Your call.
