I'm sure you know when to muck and when to get beat. But some hands you just have to pay until showdown no matter how good you are. If the flop comes something like QJx you have to go to the river with Q6o just about always, and then once in a while your opponent will show you a Q with a better kicker. On the other hand if you Q holds up until the river you don't figure to get very much money in because your opponent must have less than top pair.
If you would go all-in with your call in the BB then the 5-1 odds would be enough but you are getting reverse implied odds here.
