2nd choice 24/23 8/4, 1st choice 23/22 8/4, intending to play 6s and 5s from the 22 point; noting that I don't care if I get gammoned; expecting to win more games from the 1-3 than from the 2-3; and thinking timing is adequate, so the 8/7* plays don't appeal.
