Hmm..with unequal skill play

He doubled, I took, he won. I think he was probably right to double.

I find the 33 ELO-to-1 ER correspondence kind of incredible. If that's true, than something like the following has to be approximately true:

2000 GG ELO --- 3 ER 1900 GG ELO --- 6 ER 1800 GG ELO --- 9 ER 1700 GG ELO --- 12 ER 1600 GG ELO --- 15 ER 1500 GG ELO --- 18 ER

They start you off at 1500, and that number is supposed to indicate some sort of "average". It used to be that they would give you a starting rating of 1800 if you had won an international tournament. But if the little table I just presented is right, then an 1800 rating corresponds to a level the bots would call beginner or awful!

It seems to me that an 1800 - 1850 GG rating amounts approximately to an average open player. Does that seem right to you?
