Nack never specifically mentioned in the article what his play was, but strongly hinted at staying back being his choice. His 2nd choice was then stacking on the 5 pt.

I understand what he was saying but without putting some actual time into the position I won't know if in my opinion the bot plays hard enough for the gammon, as he said, leaving the ace slotted instead of making it right away when you have plenty of spare pips to play in the outfield trying to get rehit, recirculated, and wait for your opponent to crash his 6 or 4 pts. and get a shot & pick up another checker. I would also never waste my time with Jellyfish nowadays.
