Without querying GNU-bg on specific situations, the magnitude of gammon wins provides good evidence that it knows how to play on for gammon. (And I see Matt's posts have answered your question.) After posting my commentary (on the OFFICIAL thread :) I realized I should query JF3.0 on it's eval of closing quickly. More on that tomorrow (Sunday).
