Even if you're phobic about TMP, the plays that produce spares here aren't totally safe anyway. The pick and pass in this case may actually be the safest play, because if he fans we may be able to get away with leaving only indirects, and if he he enters with a 5 that will let us dump awkward numbers behind him. It's also good for us if he freezes for awhile, since whether we ever get the whole board filled in or not it still increases our gammon chances.

I pick and pass, 6/3*/2.
