Okay, the open 4 point really hurts. Blue could fill it now. However, that would leave him with a 4 prime that's really hard to extend into a 6 prime. White jumps out on all 6s and Blue won't have an immediate direct. 66 is a killer. There's a spare out of play on the 6 point, and the other checkers are too far away to slot the back, although they're probably good enough for containment.

I hope to fill the 4 point at some point when the other checkers are close enough to do it naturally with the spare from the 6. That may be too much to hope for, but I don't like letting White jump out here with few checkers in range to pick him off. Blue could get a triple shot, but it'll likely come at a last ditch point.

Well, since I've abandoned 7/4(2), then 20/14 8/5(2). 8/5(2) is obvious. 20/14 so that Blue will have coverage 6-away from the 8 point. I don't see any advantage to 19/13 or 23/17.
