Awkward bearin. Playing 6/1 4/2 is safe for now, but leaves a few very bad rolls next time (64, 43 being the worst, but 62 and 41 are not good either, probably others as well). Paying now by playing 7/2 4/2 leaves 6 shots for Stick this time, but we should have a smoother position when missed, and never leave more than at most one blot later on. Since getting one checker sent back is far from fatal, I think it is correct to pay now. 7/2 4/2 is my play.
