Stick will be making his board fast here, so I think it is right to force action as soon as possible, and move 7/2 6/2. This way if we do leave a shot clearing the 6 point we have better opportunities to worm our way out. Double jeopardy also means that we are probably a little less likely to leave a shot at all after forcing the issue now. Gammon issues aren't important as the gammon seems quite safe if not hit.
