Any advice on how to count shots quickly OTB?

Just count the rolls that hurt you after either play. So, OTB, make play A, then work out what rolls leave a shot - in this example, its really easy to see that after 7/2,6/2 you leave shots on 61,51,63,53 (8 total shots), and its really unpleasant to roll 33. Now go back to start and make play B. After 7/2,4/off you only leave a shot on 65 (33 still unpleasant) so 2 shots there.

OTB, make play A, look at the position and count your evils, rinse, repeat for play B.

I suppose a key is identifying which single die numbers hurt you, then looking to see where they apply. Also, NEVER forget the doubles. They can sneak up on you real easy.
