IIRC, the Woolsey positions were with spares on the 8 and midpoint (or 8 and 10 or wherever the point was), with no immediate shot numbers. When there's complete strippage outside and lots of checkers on the ace and deuce, my guess is it becomes more important to have a solid board.

IMO: take away Blue's 4 point and it's an easy pass. Give him the 5 point as well and it's probably a close double, since clearing the 11 still loses the market, and Blue still loses some gammons with 3 checkers back and down 40+ pips.
