85d yes he was in the BB, and was defending his blind, I'd do the same with this type of hand. He also pushed all in on the TURN with a pair and a flush draw. Yang had been playing very aggressive poker, and if he had not had top pair here, the move takes down the pot.
He was playing to win, not to move up the ranks. I respect him for it. If you are going to play 85d, and the flop comes Qd 4d 8c, you aren't getting off the hand... period.
I'll replay the hand tonight and give you the real hand history, but IIRC from memory it was:
blinds 120k/240k 30(40?)k ante. Yang raised to 1M on the button, and Hilm called.
Flop was Qd 4d 8c, Hilm checked, Yang bet 2M, Hilm called.
Turn 2h, Hilm checked, Yang bet 6M, Hilm moved in for 16.5M more.
River blanked.
