What Opp would really like to do next is make our bar point, or point on us and have the bar point open. So let's make the bar point before he does with 8/7(2). Then I think we don't really want the 9 point, can't get many ways to remake the 8 point, don't really want a second checker sent back even if Opp has to hit from his 20 point, and 9/7 gives us another way to smack the 23 point blot and pin Opp in a bad 1-5 game (as they usually are). If he rolls an ace to improve to a 5-2 game, so be it -- we'll be able to concentrate on springing our back checker without any other worries. We may have trouble clearing the 11 point later, but for now keeping it should be better than 11/9, looking at how Opp will have to play his 6's.
