In Response To: 2011 New York Metropolitan Open (Chuck Bower)

While I applaud Jason's action, I think the entire premature role rule is misguided. Why make a rule that one might consider good sportsmanship not to use to his advantage? In years past the rule was very simple and clear, and left no room for questions of integrity. When the dice are still down, in a contact situation, a premature roll does not stand. Period the end, and no room for judgement calls or sportsmanship (good or bad).
