Difficult technical checkerplay

I'd play 17/16.

It gives you better outfield coverage (only one pip, but why not?), and it preserves the ability to move an odd 3 in your home board. The 4 pips you have left to move there should not be wasted on checkerplays where the difference is negligible elsewhere on the board.

You could argue for 6-1 and 6-2 being better from the bar after being hit, but I'd rather argue that being hit is worse on the 17 point than on the 16 point (slotting the prime putting an extra shooter to aim for the 2 point).

So 16 is my play here.

Having said that I would (depending on my opponent) certainly consider moving 3/2 for a sec. I think it's a cash after all 3 valid candidates, so why not play 3/2?? :-)
