More bots in the news

(I haven't Googled, but surely easily found since this was an AP article.)
In our local paper there's an article this AM about Phil Laak taking on a bot (Pokibot?) for $50k this week, headsup. (I don't think the article said whether Limit or NL, but I'm guessing the former.) The article intimated that Laak feels it's going to be a stern test.
Backgammon was mentioned first (but alphabetical) among BG, checkers, and chess as games where bots already have the upper hand. I didn't see an author's name but obviously s/he has at least done the proper homework.
