It's good to hear from REW. He taught me that there was more money to be made online with money games than matches. Unfortunately, that action has dried up. I offer no answer to this question, but submit that this is a question that would not matter that much to me. I suspect that the equity difference is quite small (less than .03). Since I do not expect to play near perfect backgammon, I do not concern myself with such small equity losses. For those players who can play near perfect backgammon, I respect your ability to be so precise.
