Easy stuff for me, but back around the late 80's I spent tons of time with a bearof program since the dude my ex-wife(bitchy) left me for ("what do you know about stocks?" was her most famous line when I told her that I very seriously wanted to be a trader) and I were writing a BG program. We were working backwards from the bearoff into contact bearoffs(did lots vs checker(s) on bar) and then planned to get into basic holding games.

So I've seen stuff like this and with identical positions with 5 checkers and this many pips, these are clear cube and take. Moving from 5 to 3 helps White a bit (doubt more than 1 pip) so this should still be a recube.
