If they're anywhere near taking this than a decent sequence for them which will still leave them with a huge pass, will still be taken, so again, you can't lose anything by playing on.

That's only part of the equation. If the sequence goes against them where even they know it's a pass, you're left playing for a G with the cube at half the value it could have been.
