I think I probably would have played 23/22 and 6/5. Make the 5-point and advance that back checker. On more reflection I like 13/11 (instead of 23/22) as it brings down a checker to build with. I'm betting the computer likes 5/3*/2. I imagine a lot of us don't value the 2-point (still) and are not worried about the blot on the 2-point but computers see things a little differently.

After writing all that I checked to see what gnubg had to say and sure enough it liked the hitting/covering play (though I didn't roll it out). One play I didn't even consider was 6/4 5/4 which makes a weaker point and doesn't getting anything else moving like 23/22 or 13/11.
