13/8 seems like an autopilot play, something one might make OTB but never on an online quiz.

The fact is that here it is your opp (White) who made the wrong response, not you. It's one thing to argue "I would never have gotten to this position because I would never have made play A at point X". But you can't control what your opp does and it shouldn't surprise you that even in an Open event you could see this particular position arise.

Besides, I bet if you worked hard at it you could find a different series of rolls and plays which you would agree with that leads to this position. (Not that I would waste my time doing that, but then I wasn't wasting my time at the movie theater last night, either. GOTCHA!)
