I remember this being Kit's explanation, but I still don't really "get it". I might make the right play OtB, but if so it would definitely not be because I'd noticed some nuance-y thing about the pick and pass rolls. It would rather be because I'd figure I kind-of want the bearoff diversity (since a really good "Woolsey wedge" is unlikely to happen) and I kind-of want to make the 2 point for his later runs. For these reasons the play would kind-of look right.
