GNUbg match batch analysis not working

I have several .sgf matches that I would like to analyze using GNUbg's "Batch analyze..." function.

I open the directory, control-select the files, and click the open button.

The function appears to work, but instead of doing the analysis, pauses after each match, and then says the result is "Cancelled".

I thought the problem may be related to using .sgf files, so I tried analyzing some .mat files, but nothing happened.

I am doing something wrong, so will appreciate guidance on how to us the batch function.
