I like pick and pass here, even though it gives the 36 joker. It is easy to see that we still are big favs even after delaying with 6/1, but then it is easy for XGR to leave the blot there and we still haven't cleared anything. Otoh, even when hit, we have many direct comebacks, and cannot be cubed out at DMP, so will win many games later as well.

The pay now/pay later criteria are not conclusive: White's board is getting stronger (pay now), if missed we are almost but not quite safe at home (slight pref for now), if we don't pay now it is not certain that we will leave shots later (later). Still, my vote goes to:
