At the link Miran just gave, the reference to Naccel claims that it "doesn't quite use the full boards" (not true), and the link is outdated (and broken). Pierre is probably unaware of the new articles.

If you are interested in checking out Naccel, the easiest place (currently) to find the series of posts is at Timothy Chow's site under the "Backgammon" header, on the line "Series of posts on Naccel pip-counting."

I'll also post the links here in a separate message.
