Candidate plays are: 24/18 13/8 and 13/2*

I am not sure at all. Making 8pt is solid. It unstack our midpoint and consolidate our position and is safe when we have 17 pips racing lead. Downsides are that white is free to make anchor or new point. Also his front structure is attacking one with those stacks so he will be happy to hit on his bar with aces. On the other hand he will be distract to make new inner points.

Anyway with racing lead we have to start moving our back checkers and cover all board and keep our men connected. We have better board and don't afraid of blot hitting contest. Also white already has his back checker split so it is our turn to do the same.

Hit on 2pt is overplay. If white hit us we lose 23 points in race.

It is true that we are behind in the match and need gammons but it is only 3 points and match is long.

24/18 13/8 for me.
