I really don't like neither hitting on the 2 with 13/2* nor running 24/13, essentially because making the 8 looks mandatory to me.

Hence there's only 24/18 13/8, half escaping and making the important 8.

But is there' something else ? No. Uhm, wait .... yes, 13/8 13/7. Is it THAT silly ? Don't know ... comparing with 24/18 13/8:

- it brings wood down for an eventual attack (if missed) - it slots the bar - it unstacks the heavy mid - and at last, it avoids running into a triple shot (just a double one, ok), also leaving Stick with much less hit&cover numebrs

Downsides: - it doesn't do anything with the back men (but hey, doing nothing is better than doing something wrong) - it loses more if we get hit, but Stick has no board yet

On the board I'm fairly confident I would have played 24/18 13/8, but here ...
