I just started _A History of God_, by Karen Armstrong. It’s first line: “In the beginning, human beings created God…” And then recently there is Richard Dawkins _The God Delusion_. From his website (http://richarddawkins.net/godDelusion): “A preeminent scientist – and the world's most prominent atheist – asserts the irrationality of belief in God.” I’ve ordered it, but haven’t read it yet. (OK, how do you get stuff like italics into your posts?)
