If you eliminate all the rolls containing 1's and 2's then Stick's average non-hitting roll is about 10 pips. So when things go against us we're on the bar praying to save gammon. (Oops, only some of us pray, the rest of us hope. Either way we're going to hell.) When things go our way we're 16 pips down, in a holding game. And the odds are 5::4 they go against us this roll.
