Here's one for you. In Wisconsin they play a game called Sheepshead. Those that grew up with it claim there is a strategy and there are ways to win.

Never in my life have I seen a game so twisted. It makes Russian politics look straightforward.

I tried to learn it from my in-laws (whom I actually like). It was a good thing that I wasn't armed at the time. I was, to understate, extremely frustrated.
