Our family played a lot of that as well as Euchre (growing up in Indiana will do that, as you can probably attest to).

You got that right. I played Flinch with my grandparents and everyone played Euchre. Once I learned to play bridge I got very bored with Euchre. Spades is also quite a bit like bridge, but considerably watered down.
