Four-score positions

In Response To: Four-score positions (Timothy Chow)

I define a "technical four-score position" as one which has a different best play at each of the four main scores (according to the best data available).

I define a "real four-score position" the same as above except that no best play is tied (according to B/W error scale) with a best play at any of the other three scores.

I have not yet run across and verified a technical four-score in the opening phase of the game, though they probably exist. (43D-33 is not yet verified and I think it's an underdog.) The only technical four-scores I found were incidental, during the pain-staking trial-and-error construction of a real four-score. To date, I have found only two real four-scores (one of which is published), not counting related variants.

I'm not sure I see the point of comparing four-score positions until we find more of them (or a computer program handles it for us in the future).
