As Bob Koca hints, you would probably find the same effect if you reversed the roles of XGR++ and World Class analysis.

That is, suppose you analyze with XGR++ first and you get a really low PR. If you then analyze with World Class analysis, there's a good chance that your PR will go up.

In other words, the effect probably has nothing to do with the peculiarities of XGR++ and World Class analysis, but with the general phenomenon of regression towards the mean.
