64S-64X-32 and 64S-41X-32 make a nice set. They should appear on facing pages in book explaining how to play 32 on the third roll. After hitting with 64X, White has an extra checker in the zone, and also gets to keep the spare on his 8pt. In 64S-64X-32, therefore, White has several pointing options that allow him to retain his 8pt that are not present following 64S-41X-32.
Evidentally, that is enough to tip the balance in favor of anchoring against 64X.
