Is bitching rude?

I had good dice for most of the weekend. One of my later-round opponents started bitching about it in the second game of the match, and said something rude every time I rolled a good number. He tried to engage the lone spectator in a colloquy about how lucky I was. His own good numbers went unremarked. At one point in the middle of the match I rolled a awkward number and was taking a few seconds to think about it when he exclaimed, "Do you even know how to play a roll that isn't perfect?" He quieted down when things shifted his way, and then was able to extend the match to 8-9 with a 3% probability joker sequence. In the final game I rolled a joker which led to a closeout. At this point he started screaming profanities and invective until the match was complete. I was happy to stop playing him.
Does anyone think this kind of behavior is OK? I think it's a better experience if everyone plays with some semblance of equanimity. I'd like it if TDs moved to eliminate rude behavior. This one match kind of soured me on the whole day. Actually, it's making me reconsider whether I want to continue playing in ABT tournaments. I generally avoid circumstances where I'm going to have to sit with someone cursing and berating me for an hour.
I'd like to thank Chuck Bower, Phil Simborg, Steve Sax and Julius High for their good sportsmanship.
