At this time i am targetting May or June for the release. That means a Beta version will be avalaible probably by the end of March.
Pricing has not been yet finalized either for the full price or the upgrade price.
I thank all of you for the suggestions, unfortunatly nmot all of them will be implemented.
Here are the the answes for the one in this thread:
EPC in bear off positions I will probably implement that. Cubefull statistical data will not be in the next version. Maybe in the far future. separate and independent estimation of luck for each player I never seen the interest of that and do not plan to add it. Cubeless wins and losses of single, gammon and backgammon are provided. Do their cubeful equivalents even exist, no these number do not exists, only equity make sense cubeful. table stake cube limit already exists, however there is no easy interface for it when importing games (besides setting the game as cubeless). I will change that so you can easily set a cube limit. Full implmentation of table stake is more complexe (for instance on tmg, the stake are per session not game) and i am not sure it will get to the next version. Is it possible to load a non-symmetric MET in XG2 No, and btw editing any existing MET will not work: the program needs to flip the MET as it go through the plies. New features of version 2 are:
Engine, Game play
- New improved and stronger engine.
- Clock support (Fischer, Bronstein)
- New opening book using RO for opening and response
- Ability to use XGR(+) level within Rollout
Export
- improved position export (board orientation, always put player on roll at the bottom, position of the analyze, option to export all the top level move only)
- new HTML export that use the same code than the position export.
- New export mode using a true type font for pasting in Word or PDF and have a better printing quality.
Major Features
- Batch rollouts
- Auto save
- Ability to display 4 decimals for equities
- Translation in other languages, French is done and the program supports unlimited languagues.
- Related to the translation: unicode is now supported
- Import of SGF files (position and matches, not the analyze at this point).
- Warning on changing a setup position if there is already a RO or one is in progress.
- Ability to generate a different RO seed each time the program starts.
- Ability to add a specific move in the move list if it did not made the top 32
- ability to open a dialog to see analyze at different score (by default $,d,s,g and any user defined score)
