The choices are W (Wild (b-21, 6-5)) creating good sixes or V (Variant Up b-24, b-23)) putting additional pressure on the stripped eight point. [I am not sure of my Nactation on this one.] I would lean towards W since getting hit will likely lead to an advanced anchor. I imagine it is close.

Don't touch the blot on the 11 point. It is right where it belongs. It only gets hit by 64 in the coming exchange of hits. On the 10 point it gets hit by both 54 and 63. The duplication of outfield hits and loose hits is not worth much since the outfield hit is so much stronger.

In this position, your opponent is frequently going to hit the checker which entered high. It is often right to stay back one pip in that case where the attack will be less effective. So, I would not consider U (Up b-20).
