Backgammon for Serious Players by Bill Robertie – In my opinion, not the best of Robertie’s books, but still, if you have a Jackson to burn, get it, play the matches out yourself on a real board. Once again, try to ignore the typos, which is also a problem with me since it’s a book, I shouldn’t have to sift through such things when if you have a couple people revise it before you release it it would be easily solved. 5 games in total appear between top notch players and enough annotation by Robertie to make it worth a read. I would however, put it on a list for a Christmas or birthday present rather than buy it myself. It won’t revolutionize your game and there are many other bg books on the market today that surpass it. (also many sites now offereing free annotated matches, maybe not by Robertie, but still by solid players, and some of them are even free)
