True story on my introduction to backgammon !!!

When I was student at University of Toronto, I was serious chess player at the time. My roommate talked to me about a great game of backgammon. I was very interested and begged him to tell me more about it but he had no backgammon board. I got him to show me what it look like .. He drew the points on scrap of paper and told me that we need checkers and dice. I grabbed the beer caps as checkers and dice from Monopoly game set. We had fun playing backgammon at residence's recreation room on a scrap of paper to the amazement of other guys !!!
