I am retired, like rat terriers, and go crazy for backgammon. I want to get better, but find it hard to believe it is possible. I take ping pong lessons and I am getting better. I have read Backgammon for Blood, which I know no one admires, but I like the guy, and some of Bill Robertie's books. Sometimes I win for a while but then I lose pathetically. It just seems that sometimes Robertie says "go for it" and sometimes he says "play the percentages" but there is no way to tell WWRD (what would Robertie do) when I'm not looking at his book.
