i think bob koca is talking about someone like myself when he says"With enough obsession could someone become a top player, let's say giant level, with average to above average intelligence? By intelligence here I mean the type of intelligance suited to backgammon.".i dont know how to count that fast,dont know opening moves and my guess is that my iq is alot lower than most top players.however,i used to be quite obsessed and i normally paid more attention to small details as comapred to others.at the end of the day i believe that its aquestion of how much does one really care.
