Thanks for this. I am especially interested to hear these numbers.

I got the values I was using from Walter Trice's Backgammon Bootcamp, where he notes the remarkable consistency of the doubling window for his Trice62 rule. He uses the "less 1" and "less 2" values at all pip counts (that is, all counts above some very low value).

Some questions: Do you use 1 and 2 for shorter races? Do you have any fixed break points where you switch over, perhaps to 2 and 3, and then later to 3 and 4?
