"I share your pain. I've been foolishly trying to improve my game by reading up. I used to know what play to make about half a second after the dice stopped. Now it takes me about half an hour to count pips, analyze the timing, check my game plan, do a gammon count, evaluate cube action, check my reference positions and estimate the equity difference of 16 or more possible moves. I play the computer opponent because human opponents keep sneaking off to celebrate birthdays every couple of rolls."
