dice probabilities and shot counting

Could someone give me an easy technique for counting shots? I have difficulty with dice probabilities and counting shots when I play. It is difficult otb unless you have a technique that would go fast.I understand about 36 rolls and how many times a six appears etc. All articles make it more difficult than it should be regarding the counting of shots,coming in from the bar,hitting blots etc.Any help would be appreciated.
